Stonemason laying stone by hand

Services

What we build.

Every project is different. Every stone is chosen by hand. Here's what we do best.

Masonry built for Maine.

We work with granite, fieldstone, bluestone, brick, and natural ledge — materials that suit the land, the home, and the climate. Our work is designed to hold through frost heaves, hard winters, and decades of use. We don't cut corners because the stone won't let us.

01

Natural Stone Veneer

Natural stone veneer transforms the look of a home — inside and out. We install full and thin-cut natural stone veneer on foundations, chimneys, accent walls, and exterior facades. Every stone is selected and set by hand for color, texture, and fit.

  • Exterior foundation and facade veneer
  • Interior accent walls and fireplace surrounds
  • Full-cut and thin-cut natural stone
  • New construction and retrofit applications
  • Matching and blending with existing stonework
02

Fireplaces & Chimneys

A stone fireplace is the heart of a Maine home. We build custom interior and exterior fireplaces from scratch — selecting stone for color, texture, and character. Every firebox is sized and drafted for real-world performance, not just appearance.

  • Custom interior stone fireplaces
  • Exterior and outdoor fireplaces
  • New chimney construction
  • Fireplace inserts and surrounds
  • Wood stove and insert surrounds
03

Chimney Rebuilds & Repairs

A failing chimney is a safety issue, not just a cosmetic one. We handle full chimney rebuilds from the roofline up, as well as targeted repairs — crown work, flashing, spalling brick, and structural damage from freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Full chimney rebuilds above and below roofline
  • Crown repair and replacement
  • Flashing repair and replacement
  • Spalling and deteriorated brick replacement
  • Structural damage assessment and repair
04

Repointing & Masonry Restoration

Mortar joints fail before the stone does. Repointing — done correctly with the right mortar mix — extends the life of a masonry structure by decades. We also restore historic stonework and brick, matching original materials and methods where possible.

  • Mortar joint repointing and tuckpointing
  • Historic masonry restoration
  • Brick and stone repair and replacement
  • Waterproofing and sealant application
  • Efflorescence and staining treatment
05

Stone Patios & Walkways

Flagstone, bluestone, and natural fieldstone set into a proper base — not just laid on sand. We build outdoor living surfaces that drain correctly, stay level through freeze-thaw cycles, and look better with age.

  • Flagstone and bluestone patios
  • Natural stone walkways and paths
  • Outdoor living and entertaining spaces
  • Stone steps and landings
  • Permeable paving and drainage solutions
06

Retaining Walls

Maine terrain demands walls that work as hard as they look. We build dry-laid and mortared retaining walls in fieldstone, granite, and ledge — engineered for the grade, the soil, and the frost line.

  • Dry-laid fieldstone retaining walls
  • Mortared granite walls
  • Terracing and grade work
  • Decorative garden walls
  • Boundary and property walls
07

Brick & Block Masonry

From brick chimneys and block foundations to decorative brick accents and mixed-material projects, we work with the full range of masonry materials. Brick and block work requires precision — proper coursing, consistent joints, and correct mortar selection.

  • Brick construction and repair
  • Concrete block and CMU work
  • Mixed brick and stone projects
  • Brick steps and walkways
  • Decorative brick accents and details
08

Foundation Masonry

We build new stone and block foundations for homes, barns, and outbuildings, and restore historic foundations that have shifted, cracked, or deteriorated. Proper foundation work is invisible when it's done right — and catastrophic when it isn't.

  • New stone and block foundations
  • Historic foundation restoration
  • Foundation repointing and repair
  • Barn and outbuilding foundations
  • Crawl space and basement wall work
09

Custom Stonework

Some of our best work doesn't fit a category. Outdoor kitchens, stone benches, garden features, entry pillars, stone steps — if it involves natural stone and skilled hands, we can build it.

  • Outdoor kitchens and grills
  • Stone benches and seating
  • Entry pillars and gate posts
  • Garden features and water elements
  • Stone steps and stoops

How We Work

No surprises. No shortcuts.

01

Site Visit

We come to you. Every project starts with a conversation on-site — we look at the land, the structure, and what you're trying to build.

02

Proposal

We put together a clear, detailed proposal — scope, materials, timeline, and price. No vague estimates.

03

Stone Selection

We source materials that suit the project — local fieldstone, quarried granite, or specialty stone — and you approve before we build.

04

Build

We do the work ourselves. No subcontractors. You'll see the same faces on day one and the last day.
